Diploma Project Exploring the Notion of Connection
“FAIRE/VALOIR” engages with the concept of bond, uniting and assembling two opposing materials, forcing them into a coexistence under pressure. Subjected to this constraint, the materials deform against one another, revealing their unique physical properties. As neighboring victims of a threadlike oppressor, the elements negotiate their positions, vainly attempting to return to their original state—where freedom and naturalness were intrinsic.
I deconstruct a whole and reassemble it without concealing its constituent parts. Imprisoned, compressed, and mistreated, the materials take on new forms, creating volumes and voids, solids and empties, all transposed through the medium of imprint.
